Meet the Artist

Welcome friends!  I'm Sasha.

 

Why we're here: I'm a portrait artist based in the Highlands of Scotland and a previous student of the Glasgow School of Art (before it burnt down). I finally got to a point in life where I could quit my day job and commit fully to a creative career (it's been a long time coming). I've chosen to invest my skills and creativity into creating bespoke, eye-catching pet portraits in soft pastel and pastel pencil.

 

Why Pet Portraits?: Simply put, I love my dog, Luna, and having a hand-drawn portrait of her on my wall feels more special to me than a photo. I truly understand how much our pets mean to us and how important these pet portraits become as they support our memories of our pets.

My Ethos: I believe art should be accessible, fun, and subjective. If you think it's art, then it is. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Current Projects: I'm working on creative backgrounds and framing techniques for my pastel pet portraits. I'm also developing skills in oil painting and human portraiture, which I hope to offer as commission options soon.
